Hyung-ki Joo

British-Korean pianist, composer, actor and creator of "Nugism," R. Hyung-ki Joo is captivating the world with his explosive talents and uncommon charisma. Hyung-ki first rose to international attention when he won the Grand Prize at the Stravinsky International Piano Competition. His London debut was at Barbican Hall, performing as soloist with the Warsaw Sinfonia. Most recently, Joo has world-premiered the new piano works of legendary singer/songwriter Billy Joel at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. Joo is presently in close collaboration with Joel in the preparation and presentation of the latter's newest compositions.
